The Fresh Market currently has an opening for a Human Resources Service Center Coordinator to work in our Corporate Office in Greensboro, NC.

The HR Service Center Coordinator provides excellent employee service by building and maintaining professional working relationships, and demonstrating an expert knowledge level of The Fresh Market policies and practices. The Human Resources Coordinator will demonstrate a high level of integrity with our company guidelines, our employees, and our customers. In addition, the HRC will implement policies, procedures, practices and processes to ensure compliance with The Fresh Market, Federal, State and local regulations.


  • Act as main resource and company representative to all employees during their employment life cycle, including: 
    • internal transfer/promotions
    • Employee Referral bonus
    • Background Check assistance/follow up
    • Drug Screening assistance/follow up
    • Assist with unemployment requests
  • Listen to employee concerns; direct employee to appropriate leader for follow up and/or follow up directly with leaders Maintain the Employee Relations databases and utilize systems to effectively support Employee Relations activities; tracking and resolving cases to their conclusion within business areas
  • Research and provide knowledgeable guidance and advice on HR policies, I-9 issues and new hire procedures to managers which are in line with Company policy and legislation; ensuring that best practice is adhered to at all times.
  • Work with the HRBP to ensure that employee engagement and recognition are being practiced within all stores, travel to stores to assist with celebrations/ employee engagement events, if needed


Essential Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business Administration or related area preferred
  • HR business processes
  • HR systems
  • Customer Service
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local laws


Technical Skills

  • Computer savvy
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Talented in Microsoft Excel
