  • Overview

    The Fresh Market currently has an opening for a Direct Marketing Coordinator to be based at our Corporate Office in Greensboro, North Carolina. 

     

    Our Direct Marketing Coordinator will be pivotal in the set up of communications delivered to guests via email and direct mail with a focus on content organization and administration of Salesforce Marketing Cloud. 

     

    This position will assist the Direct Marketing Manager with the day to day management of email content needs, product recommendations and offers, plus tracking, analysis of and reporting on email campaign results. Candidate must have organizational, analytical and technology skills with the ability to see projects through to completion, take initiative to learn new technologies and find solutions to optimize email campaign effectiveness. This position will also assist the Direct Marketing Manager with campaign data organization and reporting for segmentation and analysis.

     

    This position will report to the Direct Marketing Manager. Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Email Studio experience is preferred. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Work with Marketing and Merchandise teams to create and collate appropriate content, coordinate content approval with merchandise teams and submit Workfront requests for creative development
    • Liaise with store communications team and manage internal communication of the monthly and weekly email plans
    • Work closely with Direct Marketing Manager, Director of Digital Marketing and Sr Director of Marketing to develop and manage behavior-based Guest Journeys in SFMC
    • Technical execution for all email campaigns, segmented by store and engagement/preferences, including both blast and trigger campaigns
    • Learn to create and update email assets within SFMC, ensure email campaigns publish on-time and track deliverability via ReturnPath
    • Assist with the reporting and organization of email performance data for analysis by segment, campaign, store, region and other relevant details
    • Continually monitor campaigns and work with Direct Marketing Manager to tune communications to improve open and click rates
    • Assist with project management and coordination of direct mail communications designed to drive customer engagement and incremental store visits/sales
    • Document details for all products featured in email communications for store planning and reference
    • Email campaign set up and management as needed outside of regular business hours (occasional evenings and weekends).

     

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • 2+ years digital marketing experience
    • Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders to deliver results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
    • Must be highly detailed-oriented and possess the ability to execute with minimal direction
    • Self-motivated with ability and initiative to learn new technology and find solutions for business challenges
    • Strong communication skills required as candidate will interact with team members from across the company (both in corporate office and in the field

     

    Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

    • 1+ years as a user of Salesforce Marketing Cloud (ExactTarget) platform
    • Ability to use HTML strongly preferred
    • Knowledge of email marketing best practices, segmentation, deliverability, A/B Testing, CAN-SPAM laws
    • Knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop a plus
    • Ability to take marketing concepts and translate them into actionable campaigns

     

    Travel:

    • This position is based out of our Corporate Office in Greensboro, NC. This position has minimal travel required.
