This role is responsible for inspecting and evaluating the quality of produce entering our distributor’s facility to ensure the product meets The Fresh Market’s standards. This position will report to the Quality Assurance Manager.

The Fresh Market (TFM) currently has an opening for a Category Manager in Produce Procurement at our Corporate Offices in Greensboro, North Carolina. This role is responsible for managing all of the mechanical processes in Produce with regard to the back of the house. The details of buying, aging of product, out of stocks, credit activity, order accuracy, and the wholesale process will fall under the umbrella of this CM. The goal of this position will be to communicate effectively with our vendors and growers through accurate and meaningful analysis to improve unadjusted fill rates, condition, and quality, and to improve the profitability of the stores’ Produce departments.
The Fresh Market currently has an opening for a Produce/Floral Merchandiser. This position will be based in the Southeast (covering stores in Georgia and South Carolina primarily), and will report in to a Manager, Merchandising located at the corporate office in Greensboro, NC.
This role is responsible for executing in-store merchandising tasks in order to achieve competitive advantage at the store level. The qualified candidate will work within a retail environment to effectively merchandise products by applying appropriate store-wide and/or corporate-wide standards. He or she will work closely with store staff in regard to department maintenance and he or she will also train staff on appropriate merchandising standards.
This position requires an experienced professional who has an expertise in Produce/Floral knowledge, food handling, presentation, ordering, quality control, and prepared food production.
